Our Guidelines

A careful analysis of the land and an understanding of the area’s early cultural influences helped shape the vision of Duke’s Landing and led to the development's design philosophy:

  1. Establish a community based upon land stewardship. Aim to preserve natural features of the Development such as the views, rolling topography, and native trees.

  2. Create buildings that reflect the area’s beauty, capture the spirit of coastal living, and reflect the West Coast Contemporary Style.

  3. Embrace the use of vernacular materials (stone, timber, glass, etc.), building methods, earth tone colours and landscaping to compliment the environment.

We are currently developing community guidelines to ensure the quality and integrity of the neighborhood, protecting property values now and in the future. If you would like to know more about this, contact us at info@dukeslanding.com.

We gratefully acknowledge that for thousands of years the Hul'qumi'num People (the Cowichan Tribes, Lyackson First Nation, Halalt First Nation, Ts'uubaa-satx Nation, Stz'uminus First Nation, and Penelakut Tribe), and the W̱SÁNEĆ People (the Tsartlip, Tsawout, Malahat, Pauquachin, and Tseycum First Nations) have walked gently on the unceded territories where we now live and work.
